Rain, thunderstorms and small hail is possible in the Denver metro area while large hail, localized flooding and a few tornadoes are possible in the northeast corner of Colorado.
There’s a 20 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms in Denver after 2 p.m. The high temperature will be around 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
“Strong to severe thunderstorms are also a possibility this afternoon with the strongest storms across the far eastern plains late this afternoon mainly east of a Fort Morgan to Limon line,” the weather service says.
Winds out of the northeast could gust as high as 21 mph.
There’s a 10 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms on Thursday. It will be mostly sunny with a high temperature of around 92 degrees.
Temperatures will rise to the lower 90s Friday through Sunday, the NWS says.

There’s a slight chance for evening rain and thunderstorms on Saturday.
High temperatures will be in the mid 80s on Monday and Tuesday, the NWS says.
