A 29-year-old man has been convicted of second-degree murder in the death of a fellow inmate at the Adams County Jail.

Che Jason Bachicha was convicted by a jury on Friday in the death of 28-year-old Kyle Yoemans, according to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office.

Bachicha and Yoemans were jail cellmates on Feb. 8, 2017, when the victim was found “unresponsive in a pool of blood” with Bachicha sitting on the floor, according to a news release.

An autopsy found that Yoemans died of a blow to the head and strangulation.

Bachicha will be sentenced, as a habitual criminal, on Sept. 6.
