Pedestrian dead after being struck, dragged by car in Aurora

The vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene, police say

A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Aurora on Monday evening.

According to Aurora police, the collision happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Chambers Road and East Mexico Drive.

The victim, whose name, age or gender has yet to be released, was dragged by the car a short distance, police say.

Police say the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene. Itap not clear if the driver will be cited.
