Monsoonal rains and thunderstorms with some areas of small hail are forecast for the Denver metro area on Tuesday, meteorologists say.
The best chance for rain and thunderstorms is after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. The high temperature will be around 84 degrees.
Storms are expected through the evening, when there is a 30 percent chance for rain.
Thunderstorms possible this afternoon. One or two may contain severe hail along the Palmer Divide to the southeast Plains.

Afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Wednesday as well.
The skies will be sunny and mostly clear Thursday through Monday. The highs will range from the mid-to-upper 80s, according to the NWS.
