Sunny weather is forecast for most of Wednesday with a slight chance of brief heavy rain, small hail and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, meteorologists say.

The high temperature is expected to be around 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. There’s a 10 percent chance of moisture after 4 p.m.

A few storms could be severe, the weather service says.

Afternoon rain and thunderstorms are possible Thursday and Friday, when temperatures could climb to the upper 80s, the NWS says.

It will be a sunny weekend with forecast highs of 88 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures will rise to the mid 80s the first part of next week, the NWS says.
