Sunny days are ahead as soft southwesterly breezes help usher in very warm temperatures to the Denver metro area through the weekend, according to forecasters.
The high temperature on Thursday is expected to reach 88 degrees. Southwesterly breezes between 6 to 10 mph will become easterly winds in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
It will be sunny with temperatures in the upper 80s Friday through Monday, forecasters say.
The next chance for rain and thunderstorms is on Tuesday afternoon.
