
Major League Baseball is returning to Mexico for the 2019 season, with the Rockies set to host the Diamondbacks on March 9-10 in the first of three two-game series in Monterrey.
The Colorado-Arizona series will be spring training games, followed by regular season sets on April 13-14 (Cardinals vs. Reds) and May 4-5 (Astros vs. Angels). All games will be played at Estadio de Béisbol Monterrey.
The Rockies are making their fourth appearance in Mexico, the last one coming in 2015 in a spring training contest against the Diamondbacks in Hermosillo. Colorado also played the Padres on Opening Day in 1999 (Monterrey) and during spring training in 2001 (Culiacan).
Most recently this season, the Dodgers and Padres played a three-game regular season series in Monterrey, drawing 65,116 total fans from May 4-6.
