Pueblo narcotics police officers, FBI agents and other federal investigators arrested two young men on suspicion of the armed robbery of the American Jewelry and Pawn shop in Pueblo and are investigating them in connection with another attempted robbery of a cash-advance store.
Gabriel Bencomo Diaz, 19, and Ronnie Jacquez, 22, have been arrested for investigation of aggravated robbery, menacing, theft and conspiracy to commit robbery in the Aug. 10 robbery of the pawn shop, according to a Pueblo police news release.
The two men are also suspected of an attempted robbery of Cash Advance America, 1633 S. Prairie Ave. that happened about 20 minutes before the pawn shop robbery, police say.
