Colorado officially has another “Bachelor” under its belt.

Former NFL player and the Mile High’s own Colton Underwood was named ABC’s newest man to try his hand at love on “The Bachelor” this morning on Good Morning America.

The 26-year-old tight end (in football, come on people) has had a busy year ahead of the announcement.

The world first met him when he to “Bachelorette” Becca Kufrin. Underwood made it to the season’s final four and hometown dates episode where he brought Kufrin to  He was also very vocal about the fact that he is a virgin, which he took some heat for on social media.

In that same episode, though, former flame Tia Booth revealed to Kufrin that there were still feelings there, and he was sent home.

Or, should we say, to “Paradise.”

Underwood and Booth rekindled their romance on “Bachelor in Paradise” until Monday night when he broke it off because “the feelings just weren’t there,” and they both went home.

Coincidence? Well, now we know it wasn’t.

“Third time’s a charm … that’s what I’m hoping for,” Underwood said on GMA this morning of his journey on “The Bachelorette,” “Bachelor in Paradise” and now “The Bachelor.”

As for his relationship with Booth? “We are finally on the same page for the first time in our relationship and we are just good friends,” he told Michael Stranahan.

“That’s one thing I took pride in on both seasons, was just being true to who I am,” he added. “I think it took all of that to get to where I am at now as a person and to know what I want in a life partner.”

And no, his leading lady doesn’t need to know about sports. Yes, he hopes his season ends in proposal.
