A 44-year-old man escaped without a single bullet wound after he was confronted by three suspected robbers at an Englewood grocery store parking lot early Monday morning, authorities say.
Police searched but couldn’t find the suspects.
The victim, who has not been identified, Englewood police responded to a call of multiple gunshots at the parking lot of a King Soopers, 101 Englewood Parkway, at 1:43 a.m., according to a police news release by Sgt. Chad Read.
The victim told police that when he parked near the store, three suspects approached him immediately. Each of the three suspects was black. One had a dread-lock-style haircut, a second was dressed entirely in black and a third was wearing a white t-shirt, Read’s report says.
A brief conversation between the suspects and the driver, who immediately drove away, Read wrote.
The suspects fired several gunshots at the victim’s car, striking the car an unknown amount of times, the report says.
Police searched the area but did not find any suspects.
