In a month when many agents report that a cooling market is tempering prices, you can see how far a dollar goes for a luxury home by visiting a palatial main-floor-master design that Re/Max Masters agent Lori Magazine has open Sunday, Sept. 30, behind the gates of Castle Pines Village.
The very best mountain views in the close-in part of the Denver area are southwest from Castle Pines and Daniels Park, and this home has that panorama in spades.
At 790 International Isle — an island within the gated enclave thatap wrapped by the PGA course — you’ll see a four-bedroom/eight-bath home with over 8,600 finished square feet, including a lavish walkout, not counting a four-car-plus garage.
Itap on 1.4 acres covered with pines and Gambel oak, rising to a promontory thatap arrayed in canyon rock with ponds, a vast waterfall and a seated portico bar.
Thatap the backdrop from this home’s interior — outward to the southwest view toward Devil’s Head, inward to the rocks and water.
All of that is $1.999 million.
The owner, says Magazine, paid more than that for the house eight years ago, before dropping a bundle for an extravagant man-cave with tile floor and coffered ceiling you’ll tour as bonus space over the garage.
A Harley Davidson exec, he also took a fifth garage bay below and created a white-and-black tile custom Harley garage, one that will work just as well for a show car or two.
And you’ll see lavish hardwood, a huge main-floor master, fully paneled study, bright rec spaces on the walkout with fireplace, theater and seated bar, circular drive, and multiple decks and balconies.
Why under $2 million? “For some reason people don’t see how close Castle Pines Village is,” says Magazine, adding that they’re also resistant to listings built two decades ago (this one is 1999).
But this one has much of the contemporary look that resonates with buyers now. And my trip down to Castle Pines’ Gate 3 on the south end of the village from DTC was just 15 minutes.
The news and editorial staffs of The Denver Post had no role in this postap preparation.
