Days remain sunny, cool in Denver while mountains get inches of snow

Slight chance of snow returns Wednesday to Denver

The mountains outside of Denver could get up to a foot of snow by Monday morning though skies will mostly remain sunny and clear in the city on Sunday.

Sunday is expected to be at least partially cloudy in Denver for the Broncos’ afternoon game against the Houston Texans, . Temperatures could reach a high of 52.

Anybody traveling to higher elevations Sunday should be prepared for low visibility and lots of snow. The weather service estimated that between six to 12 inches of snow could fall throughout the day.

The weather in Denver is likely to remain sunny and in the 50s until Wednesday, when meteorologists predict a slight chance of rain and snow in the evening.
