Denver’s icy and snow-covered highways are making it difficult to navigate between lanes Monday morning even though snow is falling in only a few isolated areas.
The cloudy skies will gradually clear and become sunny, but even then the high temperature will only reach about 31 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
An additional one to two inches of new snow could fall in the mountains and the foothills on Monday.
Temperatures will drop to around 14 degrees Monday night before a warm up arrives on Tuesday, when the high is expected to reach 48 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Light snow or flurries will continue over the mountains, Front Range foothills & Palmer Divide region thru mid-morning w/additional accumulations around 1". Otherwise, decreasing clouds w/mostly sunny skies for the rest of the day. Clear & cold tonight.

By Wednesday the high will be around 58 degrees, according to the NWS. Temperatures will reach the mid 50s on Thursday and Friday as well.
It could snow on Saturday in Denver, where it will be cooler and cloudy. There’s a slight chance for snow.
