Authorities quickly cleared multiple wrecks on southbound Interstate 25 Tuesday morning and reopened all lanes of traffic following two multiple-vehicle accidents on the north side of the Denver metro area.

Workers have also cleared a third crash on the northbound I-25 near downtown Denver and reopened all lanes where the crash had happened.

On the south side of the highway, the first series of chain-reaction crashes happened around 5:30 a.m. near 84th Avenue. The left lanes of I-25 were blocked, but are now open, according to the Colorado Department of Public Safety.

The second chain-reaction crash happened about 30 blocks south of the first, just past the 58th Avenue exit. The right lanes of I-25 were closed near the exit, but have all been reopened, according to CDOT.

A crash on northbound I-25 began clogging traffic at Colorado Boulevard at around 6:30 a.m. The left lanes of the highway are closed.
