A cold front will sweep into Denver late Friday night along with freezing drizzle before a blustery snow storm on Saturday, forecasters say.
Before the storm Denver will experience a balmy day with temperatures rising to a high of 62 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Clouds will build in the afternoon as a northeasterly storm moves into Colorado. Freezing drizzle will fall beginning around 3 a.m. Temperatures will plummet to a low of about 24 degrees, the NWS says. Winds will gust up to 28 mph.
The freezing drizzle will continue falling until around noon Saturday, when it will begin to snow, forecasters say. New snow accumulation of an inch of snow is possible in Denver. Temperatures will continue to drop during the day to about 21 degrees by 5 p.m.
By Sunday, the storm will move out of Colorado and southwest breezes will usher in a warm up. The high will be around 46 degrees.
Next week will be warmer with temperatures rising to the lower-to-mid 50s Monday through Thanksgiving Day.
