Freezing nights and chilly days on the horizon for Denver

Highs should be around the 30s and 40s for the rest of the week

Wednesday is expected to be sunny with warmer temperatures than Tuesday, with a high slated for 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. By evening, some clouds will roll in with a low around 18 degrees.

Thursday should be partly sunny with a high dancing on freezing near 32 degrees. Light and variable wind are expected to come from the east-southeast around 5 mph. Thursday night is predicted to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 21 degrees.

Sunshine should return on Friday with a high warming up to near 41 degrees. Friday night should be mostly cloudy, with a low around 22 degrees. The sunshine is expected to stick around throughout the weekend with Saturday have a high near 46 degrees. Come night time the mercury could drop to a low of around 21 degrees.

Sunday should be sunny, with a high near 48 degrees. By nightfall, the low could drop to around 23 degrees.

Next week will start of a touch warmer with Monday and Tuesday both slated for having highs in the low 50s.
