President Donald J. Trump is being blitzed and he’ll have to face the pressure without a helmet — a Tim Tebow helmet.

Trump agreed to shutter the Donald J. Trump Foundation on Tuesday — fallout from the New York State attorney general’s office alleging the President illegally used the foundation for personal and political benefit and, who’d have guessed, Tebow memorabilia is under center in the latest allegations against the commander in chief.

The foundation has $1.75 million and additional assets to be liquidated to other charities at the discretion of New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood and a state judge, according to the Washington Post.

An autographed helmet by the former Broncos quarterback is part of those “additional assets,” which include two large portraits of Trump. Trump to secure the Tebow lid. Why he wanted an autographed Tebow helmet is unknown. Maybe he, too, was swept up in Tebowmania from the year prior.

What is clear, however, is after Trump bid on the helmet, he cut a check using money raised from donors to his charity. The payment was unearthed by the Washington Post during a July 2016 review of Trump’s charitable giving.

The lawsuit against the Trump Foundation alleges “persistently illegal conduct” from the charity, founded in 1987, as AG Underwood pursues an additional $2.8 million in financial restitution, according to the Washington Post. The lawsuit also alleges the personal charity was illegally engulfed in Trump’s 2016 election campaign.
