Holiday travelers across the mountains can expect some slick conditions on Christmas Eve, while folks in the Denver area should see a dry day with mild temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
Light snow will continue through most of the day in the High County, forecasters say, creating areas of snow-covered and slick roads. Gusty winds up to 35 mph will also create blowing snow over mountain passes. Accumulation could range from 1-3 inches, depending on the area.
In Denver, the weather should be much more tame, with party sunny skies and temperatures reaching a high of 48 degrees.
Forecasters predict a dry and seasonable Christmas Day, before a stronger winter storm moves in on Wednesday into Thursday.
