Eastbound lanes of C-470 have been closed at Broadway because of several crashes, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
Trooper Gary Cutler, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman, said there were at least four crashes beginning at 7:10 p.m. Cutler cited ice on the road as a major factor.
State patrol is working to clear the crashes, he said.
There have been no injuries reported, a there was no timetable as to when the road might reopen.
