One person was ejected from an RTD train on Monday morning in Aurora and sustained a serious injury, according to police.

The R-Line Light Rail Train was at the intersection of South Sable Boulevard and East Exposition Avenue, traveling south on Sable and about to make the turn onto Exposition when it jumped the track, Aurora police said on their blog.

An Aurora police officer rendered aid and the person was then transported to a hospital. Police said the rider is in stable condition.

Other riders on the train also reported minor injuries and were taken to a hospital, police said.
