As Colorado started the year with both cold and warm days on top of snow storms and dry spells, its residents headed outdoors to explore the Centennial state. Some set the first turns down mountains while others rode sleds down hills. Climbers took refuge on indoor walls or brought out picks to navigate the ice. Meanwhile, joggers ran regardless of the conditions. And as people explored their state, The Denver Post photographers were there to capture it.
