A man stabbed on Kalmia Avenue Tuesday morning after an argument said the suspect is his brother, and wants the assault charges against him to be upgraded to attempted murder.

According to an affidavit, police were called to a house at 1400 Kalmia Ave. after Franz Collom reportedly stabbed his brother, Nathaniel, in the chest.

Nathaniel Collom, in an interview with the Camera on Wednesday, said his brother had recently returned from California and was trying to get some belongings from Nathaniel’s room early that morning.

Nathaniel Collom said he told his brother he was trying to get some sleep before he had to go to work and that his room would be open after that. But Nathaniel Collom said his brother “became aggressive” about it, so he went outside to tell him to be quiet.

According to the affidavit, Franz Collom stabbed his brother once in the chest, causing a 2-inch-deep wound between his ribs that partially punctured his lung.
