Denver residents will get a short reprieve from the falling snow and colder temperatures Sunday, though the Front Range mountains and Foothills are expected to see high gusts of wind, according to the National Weather Service.

The wind gusts are expected to get higher than 60 mph, the hazardous weather outlook said.

Temperatures are expected to be warmer early to the middle of next week, but wind gusts are expected to continue. Forecasters call for light snow in the mountains the following week.

As of Sunday morning, the National Weather Service forecast for Denver did not call for any more snow for the rest of the week.

Sunday should see mostly sunny skies with a high near 44 degrees and a low near 21.

The weather is expected to continue getting warmer during the day until Friday, according to the weather service.
