Denver will have scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday, forecasters say. Small hail is also possible.

The high temperature will be around 59 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

There’s a 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms mostly after 3 p.m. Scattered rain is expected through midnight, the NWS says.

The mountains could get between 2 and 4 inches of snow, particularly above 10,000 feet in elevation, the weather service says.

The Front Range will warm up the rest of the week with temperatures rising to the 60s through Sunday, forecasters say.

Thursday will have a high of 66 degrees.

On Friday, the high temperature will be around 68 degrees. There will be a 20 percent chance of rain.

Afternoon rain showers are possible on Saturday as well, the NWS says.
