Aurora police are investigating the death of a person after they found a body in a burning car early Sunday morning.

Investigators responded to the intersection of East 58th St. and Flanders Street — next to Singletree Park — after a vehicle on fire was reported, according to an Aurora police news release.

When the fire was extinguished, emergency responders found an unidentifiable body inside. Aurora police are investigating it as a suspicious death.

The Adams County Coroner’s Office will work to identify the body and notify the person’s family.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to contact Agent Frederickson with the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit at 303-739-6106.
