Denver police are investigating a fatal rollover crash at the eastbound Sixth Avenue ramp heading onto north Interstate 25 — and people involved may have fled.
The ramp onto I-25 was closed at 5:45 p.m. It was unclear how many vehicles were involved.
“A car rolled over. A couple guys left the scene on foot,” a police dispatcher said.
Denver police declined to release any suspect information.
Police indicated they went to the scene around 5:17 p.m. after learning of the crash. No details on the person who died were made available. Police were still at the scene at 7:40 p.m. with a rolled-over vehicle blocking the ramp.
Officers are on-scene with a fatal rollover crash at the Eastbound 6th Ave ramp leading onto Northbound I-25. Traffic in that area will be impacted.
