
Light snow showers will turn to rain early Tuesday morning in the Denver metro area as snow will continue through the day in the mountains.
A blanket of fog over the Front Range will dissipate before 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Little or no snow accumulation is expected in Denver.
Temperatures will rise slowly up to 53 degrees, according to forecasters. Rain and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night. The chance for precipitation is 40 percent.

State officials closed eastbound Interstate 70 near Eagle because of heavy snow in the mountains, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
A winter weather advisory is in place until Wednesday morning in the mountains, which could get another 5 to 12 inches of snow Tuesday and early Wednesday, the NWS says.

There is a slight chance of rain in the morning on Wednesday. The chance for rain and thunderstorms will increase Wednesday afternoon. The high temperature will be around 51 degrees. Rain could turn to snow late Wednesday night.
It will be warmer on Thursday with a high temperature of about 63 degrees, the NWS says. It could rain in the afternoon but there is only a 10 percent chance of that.
Friday will be sunny with a high of about 68 degrees, forecasters say.
Sunny skies are also expected through the weekend when temperatures rise to the lower 70s. There’s a slight chance for rain and thunderstorms Sunday night, the NWS says.
