Derby day in Denver promises to be a warm, dry one before rain clouds descend on the metro area early next week.

Highs in Denver on Saturday are expected to reach 72 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

The beautiful weather should continue into Sunday, where forecasters predict highs of 75 and sunny.

Then comes the workweek, and with it a potential for stormy conditions. Monday through Friday could all see thunderstorms, the NWS said, with high temperatures ranging from 74 to 48 degrees during the week.
