A man was shot dead Friday night in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, police said.
Officers are on-scene in 2300 Blk of Welton St, in regard to a reported shooting. One adult male is being treated for Serious injuries related to a GSW. There is no available suspect information at this time.

The shooting happened in the 2300 block of Welton Street, near Lawson Park.
Police did not have any immediate information on a suspect. The victim suffered “serious injuries,” police said initially. About 90 minutes later police announced that the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
