Arvada police are asking for help in identifying a suspect in a hit-and-run, auto-pedestrian collision over the weekend that seriously injured a 14-year-old boy, said Arvada police.

The boy’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening, Arvada police spokesman David Snelling said in a news release. The teen’s name has not been released.

Police are searching for the driver of a black, two-door, Toyota sedan that has dark tinted windows.

The boy was crossing north-bound Sheridan Boulevard at the intersection of West 64th Avenue at 9:19 p.m. Saturday when the northbound car slammed into the boy, the news release said.
