Colorado wildlife officers found and tranquilized a black bear that had been reported strolling through the Anthem Highlands neighborhood in Broomfield on Monday morning.
Sightings that began at 6:20 a.m. Monday triggered numerous police calls, according to a tweet by the Broomfield Police Department.

The bear was spotted near Indian Peaks Parkway and Lowell Boulevard a few hours later. At 8:06 p.m., Broomfield police tweeted out that the bear had been located and tranquilized. It is being relocated.
UPDATE: As of 7:30 pm the bear has been located and tranquilized by Colorado Parks and Wildlife Officers and is being relocated.

Pictures of the bear were taken near the intersection of Chesapeake Drive and Crosby Drive.
