Isolated thunderstorms and strong winds up to 50 mph are forecast Tuesday for the Denver metro area.

There’s a 20 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., said the National Weather Service in Boulder.

It will mostly be sunny with a high temperature of about 85 degrees, the NWS said.

It gets warmer in the middle of the week with highs of 89 degrees on Wednesday, 92 on Thursday and 93 on Friday, the weather service said.

Temperatures will very gradually cool down over the weekend when there is a chance each day of thunderstorms.

High temperatures will go from 91 on Saturday to 88 on Sunday and 87 on Monday, the NWS said.
