Thunderstorms and rain showers could bring flash flooding Sunday to the Denver area, according to the National Weather Service.
Storms will produce heavy rain; flash flooding is possible. Never drive over a flooded road.

The thunderstorms and rain showers will likely bring along some heat relief, with a forecasted high of 85 degrees in Denver, the weather service said.
Rain is likely this afternoon and evening bringing a low of 60 degrees, forecasters predicted,
The strongest storms could bring heavy rain and hail, particularly in higher terrain, according to the weather service, with some flash flooding possible.
Coverage of storms will be lower on Sunday with similar temperatures. Heavy rainfall will be the main threat from these storms.

Some storms over the plains could bring hail and damaging winds as the storms move across the state, the weather service said.
A good chance of storms over the higher terrain this afternoon which will spread across the plains this evening. A few of storms may be severe over the plains with large hail & damaging winds. A few places may see a quick 1-2" of rain as the storms move across.

The rest of the week will likely bring more rain and warm temperatures, though Monday’s high is expected to be even lower than Sundays at 81 degrees, with a return to the 90s on Wednesday. The weather outlook calls for daily thunderstorms, especially across the Palmer Divide, foothills and eastern plains with heavy rainfall and small hail expected.
