
Denver will have mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures early Friday afternoon, but a few isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are possible in the evening, National Weather Service forecasters said.
The high temperature will be around 92 degrees in downtown Denver. There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m., the NWS said.
A few severe thunderstorms could bring large hail, heavy rain and damaging winds on the Eastern Plains, the NWS said.
Weekend temperatures will rise to the upper 80s. The probability for precipitation will increase on the weekend, with a 40 percent chance of rain on Saturday and a 50 percent chance on Sunday, forecasters at the Boulder offices of NWS said.
High temperatures will gradually climb from the upper 80s on Monday to about 93 degrees by Thursday, the NWS said. Rain showers and thunderstorms are possible every afternoon between Monday and Thursday, forecasters said.
A few severe storms possible on the plains this afternoon. Large hail, heavy rain and damaging winds are the main impacts.
