DENVER – A man was taken to a hospital in an officer-involved shooting in Denver’s Highland neighborhood late Saturday night, police said.
No officers were injured.
Officers had responded shortly after 11 p.m. to a report of a man with a gun in the area of 15th Street and Central Street, near Interstate 25.
When police arrived, the man pulled out a handgun and shots were fired, police Division Chief Ron Saunier said. The man was taken to a hospital and his condition was unknown Sunday morning.
More information about the shooting was not available. Authorities were still investigating Sunday.
