One man died and two other people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 70 near Byers, according to Colorado State Patrol.

A woman was driving a Ford F-150 going eastbound on I-70 near mile marker 320 when the truck rolled over into the median at about 5:30 a.m., said Colorado State Patrol spokesman Sgt. Blake White.

A man who was a passenger in the vehicle was killed, and the woman and another passenger, a juvenile, were taken to a hospital by car for treatment of their injuries.

Alcohol is suspected to have contributed to the crash, White said.

Eastbound I-70 lanes were closed for several hours between exit 316, U.S. 36, Byers, and exit 322, Peoria Road, as police investigated the crash and the road reopened at exit 322, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation on Twitter. The lanes were reopened at about 10:30 a.m.
