Cheyenne Wells beat Walsh by a score of 37-18 on Friday, Sept. 20.
Quade Pelton paced all Cheyenne Wells rushers with 165 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 11 yards per carry.
Coy McDonald led Walsh’s passing attack with 92 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns and one interception. McDonald also added 40 yards and one touchdown on the ground. McDonald’s most prolific target in the game was Kevin Rodriquez, who caught one pass for 44 yards and one score.
Brendan Hodges spearheaded the Walsh rushing attack by gaining 48 yards in the game, averaging 6.9 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Cheyenne Wells hosting Granada and Walsh taking on Colorado School for the Deaf Blind.
