Chaparral lost by a single touchdown in a 24-17 game against Lakewood on Friday, Sept. 20.
Lakewood quarterback Max Schadler led the aerial attack with 75 yards through the air. Schadler also added 32 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Tyson Pallatt lead all Lakewood receivers with four receptions for 43 yards.
Lakewood’s ground attack was lead by Dylan Ladd who ran for 71 yards in the game, averaging 6.5 yards per carry.
Chaparral quarterback Konnor Ruth led the passing attack with 213 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Chaparral’s leading receiver was Josh Covak, who caught six passes for 143 yards and one score.
Zack Lehmann spearheaded the Chaparral ground game by finishing with 43 yards in the game.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Lakewood hosting Cherokee Trail and Chaparral taking on Cherry Creek.
