Denver weather: Temperatures to remain 10 degrees hotter than normal through first week of fall

Temperatures in Denver will likely remain in the 80s through the first week of fall — about 10 degrees warmer than usual.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Boulder predict temperatures could rise to 83 degrees Monday and as high as 85 Tuesday and remain in the mid-80s through Thursday. Historically, high temperatures for this week hovered around 75 degrees, .

No rain is expected until Friday afternoon when there’s a chance of showers, according to the weather service. Temperatures then could drop into the low 70s.

Although it will remain unseasonably warm here through the week, it’s unlikely that the temperatures will break records. The record high for Denver on Sept. 23 is 90 degrees.
