Colorado leaf-peepers should see pristine conditions Saturday, with sunny skies and moderate temperatures throughout the Front Range and into the High Country.
Highs in Denver are expected to reach 78 degrees while the mountains stay in the high 60s, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
The sun will stay out, but breezes may gust up to 40 mph in the mountains and 35 mph over the plains.
Windy conditions will persist on Sunday, leading forecasters to declare a critical fire danger for much of the state. The red flag warning will be in effect from noon until 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
Skies will clear this morning leading to mostly sunny conditions the rest of the day. It will be breezy with gusts up to 40 mph in the mountains and 35 mph over the plains. Highs will be slightly above normal.
