Air Academy easily defeated Cheyenne Mountain by a score of 44-6 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Sam Beers spearheaded the Air Academy rushing attack by finishing with 195 yards and five touchdowns in the game, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Ethan Martin added 99 yards on the ground, averaging 16.5 yards per carry.
Caden Bellew powered Cheyenne Mountain’s passing attack with 96 yards through the air. Bellew also added one touchdown on the ground. Jackson Blaylock lead all Cheyenne Mountain receivers with two catches for 39 yards.
Cheyenne Mountain’s ground attack was spearheaded by Nico Gagliardi who ran for 45 yards in the contest, averaging 5 yards per carry.
Cheyenne Mountain will stay home and play Widefield, while Air Academy will travel to play Palmer.
