Bayfield couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Durango squad, losing by a score of 55-0 on Friday, Sept. 27.

Durango quarterback Jordan Woolverton led the passing attack with 196 yards through the air, throwing five touchdowns with no interceptions. Woolverton also added 46 yards on the ground. Durango’s leading receiver was Gage Mestas, who caught three passes for 131 yards and two scores.

Durango’s rushing game was paced by Everett Howland who accrued 80 yards in the game, averaging 16 yards per carry. Nate Messier added 58 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 8.3 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Durango heading to play Pueblo Centennial and Bayfield taking on Alamosa.

Bayfield has not reported any team or player statistics from this contest.
