Salida couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Cedaredge squad, losing by a score of 61-24 on Friday, Sept. 27 at Salida HS, Salida HS.

Dusty Emig spearheaded the Cedaredge ground game by running for 329 yards and four touchdowns in the game, averaging 17.3 yards per carry.

Zayne Walker powered Salida’s passing attack with 270 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns and one interception. Walker also added 54 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Ben Fuller lead all Salida receivers with five catches for 127 yards and one score. Braden Collins got involved in the passing game as well, reeling in three balls for 64 yards and one touchdown.

In addition to Walker’s effort, Eddie Glaser paced the Salida rushing attack by accumulating 29 yards in the game, averaging 7.2 yards per carry.

In their next games, Salida will stay home and play Pagosa Springs, while Cedaredge will travel to play Olathe.
