Cedaredge easily handled Salida by a score of 61-24 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Dusty Emig spearheaded the Cedaredge ground game by gaining 329 yards and four touchdowns in the game, averaging 17.3 yards per carry.
Zayne Walker powered Salida’s passing attack with 270 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns and one interception. Walker also added 54 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Ben Fuller lead all Salida receivers with five catches for 127 yards and one score. Braden Collins got involved in the passing game as well, hauling in three balls for 64 yards and one touchdown.
In addition to Walker’s effort, Eddie Glaser paced the Salida rushing attack by racking up 29 yards in the contest, averaging 7.2 yards per carry.
Salida will stay home and play Pagosa Springs, while Cedaredge will travel to play Olathe.
