Elbert easily put away Denver Christian by a score of 38-0 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Nathan Tornone led Elbert’s passing attack with 85 yards through the air. Tornone also added 50 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Tornone’s most prolific receiver in the contest was Sebastian Rose, who caught three passes for 30 yards.
Kade Bitterman lead the Elbert ground game by accumulating 208 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 10.9 yards per carry. Christian Cunningham added 51 yards on the ground, averaging 7.3 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Elbert heading to play Swink and Denver Christian taking on Front Range Christian.
Denver Christian has not reported any team or player statistics from this contest.
