Hoehne easily handled Las Animas by a score of 64-6 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Weston Hill led Hoehne’s passing attack with 196 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns with no interceptions. Hill also added 100 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Hill’s most prolific receiver in the ballgame was Grant Arellanes, who caught five passes for 121 yards. Antonio Moltrer got in on the action in the passing game as well, reeling in three balls for 66 yards and one touchdown.
In addition to Hill’s effort, Michael Armijo lead the Hoehne rushing game by racking up 95 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 10.6 yards per carry.
Las Animas quarterback Markus Vigil led the passing attack with 103 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown with no interceptions. Las Animas’ leading receiver was Nick Chavez, who caught three passes for 59 yards and one score.
Next up for each team, Hoehne will play host to Fowler, while Las Animas will travel to play Wiley.
