Las Animas earned a win when they defeated Wiley 42-26 on Friday, Oct. 4 at Wiley Consolidated School, Football Field.
Caden Morlan lead all Las Animas rushers with 277 yards in the game, averaging 16.3 yards per carry.
Wiley quarterback Cade Zordel led the passing attack with 90 yards through the air. Zordel also added 78 yards on the ground. Wiley’s leading receiver was Tate Krentz, who caught one pass for 64 yards and one score.
Aiden Michael paced all Wiley rushers with 168 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 7.3 yards per carry. Skylar Phillips added 100 yards on the ground, averaging 7.1 yards per carry.
In their next games, Las Animas will play host to McClave, while Wiley will travel to play Fowler.
