Monarch easily put away Gateway by a score of 32-6 on Friday, Oct. 4.

Keiran Singh paced all Monarch rushers with 168 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. Ryan Shaughnessy added 84 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 5.2 yards per carry. Max Fredricksmeyer added 52 yards and one touchdown, averaging 6.5 yards per carry.

Gateway quarterback Erick Covington led the passing attack with 64 yards through the air. Covington also added 50 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Tony Gallegos lead all Gateway receivers with three receptions for 43 yards.

In addition to Erick Covington’s effort, Derek Hayes lead the Gatewayrushing game by accumulating 35 yards in the contest, averaging 5.8 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Monarch heading to play Loveland and Gateway taking on Aurora Central.
