Fort Morgan won by just a single point over Roosevelt on Friday, Oct. 11.

Fort Morgan quarterback Briggs Wheatley led the aerial attack with 122 yards through the air. Wheatley also added one touchdown on the ground. Briggs Wheatley’s most reliable receiver in the game was Jacob Ortega, who caught seven passes for 122 yards and two scores.

Cael Langford spearheaded the Fort Morgan ground game by running for 25 yards in the contest, averaging 4.2 yards per carry.

Braeden Saya led Roosevelt’s passing attack with 140 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns and one interception. Saya’s most reliable receiver in the contest was Tucker Peterson, who caught two passes for 50 yards and two scores.

Roosevelt’s rushing game was lead by JT Baughman who tallied 97 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Baughman also tacked on 46 receiving yards. Cooper Walton added 90 yards on the ground, averaging 9 yards per carry.

Roosevelt will stay home and play Thompson Valley, while Fort Morgan will travel to play Northridge.
