Golden easily handled Grand Junction by a score of 42-20 on Friday, Oct. 11 at HOMECOMING SCHOOL OF MINES STADIUM (MAROON OUT).
Joey Mancuso led Golden’s passing attack with 254 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns without an interception. Golden’s leading receiver was Kevin Mulligan, who caught six passes for 135 yards and three scores. Josh Torrey got involved in the passing game as well, grabbing one ball for 71 yards.
Matt Elliott lead all Golden rushers with 121 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. Braden Edwards added 88 yards on the ground, averaging 12.6 yards per carry.
Carson Loveridge paced the Grand Junction rushing attack by racking up 144 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 5.8 yards per carry.
Grand Junction will play host to Dakota Ridge, while Golden will travel to play Chatfield.
